Job Reductions at Bell
IBEW 435 Members at Bell MTS,
As you are likely well aware, Bell has announced significant job reductions affecting approximately 4,800 positions or 9 percent of its workforce. This news is especially dissapointing as they also have announced a 3.1% dividend increase to their shareholders.
Last year TEAM commissioned a report: For Whom the Bell Tolls: The Privatization of Manitoba Telecom Services and its Impacts. The Report highlights the serious implications reductions such as the one recently accounced affects our Members at Bell MTS.
